I don't have willpower. I am willpower.

My name is Vilja. In english that is the direct translation of "will" (as in willpower).
I'm not the person that make it to the finish line every time I decide to do something. And I'm definitely not the first person to cross it when I finally spot something that looks like a finish line. I rather tend to be the person that stumbles and fall through the whole race. But I guess I'm also that person that always get back on my feet, no matter how many wounds the fall get me. Because in some way, my survival instinct is its own kind of winner in every race. Every time.
Even at days when everything feel absolutely pointless, and I just want to break down and cry. Give up. Quit. When I just want to scream to the world; "Is this what you want from me? To give up? To just lay down and rot? To lose the race?". Laying there on the ground, feeling the pain. That's when the survival instinct kicks in. Tells me to choose a different direction.
I may not win the race I started to run in, but that doesn't mean I have to lose. Or even cross the finish line. I just have to get back up on my feet and choose a new angle. Trick the world. Laugh back. Because somewhere, sometime, I'll find a finish line that is mine to cross. And I'm going to be first. The winner.
Because i never quit. No matter how difficult it is, I always get back up.
Because I am willpower.

Spring in Gothenburg

Yesterday I packed my bags and took my car to Gothenburg. I'm currently at a hotel near the docks. Water all around! Which got me inspired to take a new look at my old photos from October last year, when we went to Norrtälje and had a photoshoot in the water.
October, yes.
This is a previously unshown picture, so I just had to share it with you!

Snow. In April?!

2016-04-24 20:04:48 Life, Den Allsmäktige Lingonrenen Style, Den Allsmäktige Lingonrenen

Well. I did say yesterday (or something) that the weather in Sweden isn't very reliable. Today I got proof of it! Looked out the window and the biggest snowflakes of the year fell down from the sky. It's the end of April. It's not supposed to happen.
My reaction? Camera! Stuff! Battery! Memory card! Now I'm ready!
And by then the snow were all gone and the sky clear blue. Seriously. So instead of having a snowy photoshoot, I brought my lantern, one of the best books ever written (Harry Potter, yes), a blanket and my camera and walked to my little mountain. Took some pictures and then spent some hours in the sunset, reading. Ah, what a wonderful way to spend the day!
